Can I really get better?

Yes, I wouldn't be here if I didn't truly believe that. But I also do not believe that "healed" is a place. I believe your relationship with yourself can grow, your relationship with your past can be nurtured, and your hope for your future can be supported. And all of that can feel better :)

Do you take insurance? Are you a therapist?

No, I am not a licensed mental health provider and cannot make diagnoses or provide treatment. Therefore, I am not covered by insurance. I can provide trauma-informed support and coaching in a flexible, creative, and you-centered environment. I draw from my trainings, mentors, and lived experiences to offer guidance and a safe(r) space as you navigate your journey. 

What does it look like to work with you?

We will get to know each other - humans and relational healing are not one size fits all. I may not be the best fit for you, and that's okay! (I know lots of wonderful humans who could be!)
If we both decide working together feels like a fit, we will explore techniques and approaches that work best for you. Integrating these modalities in a way that can be more helpful than just having dialogue. We will make space for the parts of you that may show up, listen to your body and nervous system, slow down and integrate, and honor your innately intuitive power to heal.

What is your approach summed up?

I believe we find healing when we feel seen and can meet our whole selves. I help you find safety to explore that relationship with yourself. I believe that you have done the absolute best! You have survived. And you are now at a place to be reaching out for support. We will explore the dark and the light, and all the colors in between. 
If you are open to:
- being an active participant in your own growth
- developing your bodily and nervous system awareness
- investigating thoughts, emotions, and behaviors in relation to physical sensations 
- communicating and exploring the uncomfortable and confused, in a safe(r) environment
- working in collaboration with Emily to set realistic goals 
Then I may be a good resource for you! 

*safe(r) because I recognize that the experiences of trauma,  especially for those of marginalized identities, may not experience complete safety. But I promise to support you the best I can.
